Phoebe had heard stories of a “Times Square Demon”, but dismissed them as fairy tales meant to frighten children into staying indoors after nightfall. Not able to enjoy that luxury since “the accident”, she had been careful to get to her hiding place before dark... until tonight.

Shadows moving across the faces of buildings startle Phoebe and send her bolting, frightened, through city streets.
